<peterm6881> hey Xogium
<peterm6881> PLEASE NOTE AFTER A KERNEL UPDATE or for any other speedsaver_defconfig changes, run make distclean from buildroot-202x.xx.xx/output/speedsaver and re-make the speedsaver_defconfig. Stable kernel from kernel.org to follow Buildroot LTS.
<peterm6881> this is what I have in my notes
<Xogium> peterm6881: yes
<Xogium> but I didn't modify the defconfig and neither did I upgrade the kernel since we bumped to .5
<peterm6881> should we do it now?
<peterm6881> kill 2 birds with one stone
<Xogium> suppose might as well
<peterm6881> so what do you need to do?
<peterm6881> sorry to be a pain
<Xogium> litterally just update a single line in the defconfig ;)
<peterm6881> make it so
<Xogium> done
<peterm6881> thank you Xogium
<peterm6881> you're a star
<Xogium> can you try it and tell me how it goes ?
<peterm6881> I'm on it
<Xogium> thanks

<peterm6881> oh dear I jinx you every time! ;)
<peterm6881> is the Dell retired now?
<peterm6881> make: *** [Makefile:23: _all] Error 2
<peterm6881> no image created
<Xogium> oh yes dell has been unused for months, no point in using this crap laptop when I have a powerhouse
<Xogium> let me finish fixing the server and I'll check what's gotten into our build
<peterm6881> thanks Xogium
<Xogium> one of the hard drive on the server crashed, that's what blew up
<peterm6881> fs, not good
<Xogium> nup but raid 1 saved it it looks like
<Xogium> and staff replaced it very quick, like barely 5 minutes after I opened the ticket
<peterm6881> ohh the remote server, thats not so bad
<peterm6881> good test for them
<peterm6881> outstanding
<peterm6881> running a make clean && make -j5
<peterm6881> just to make sure
<peterm6881> na seems to be kaput
<peterm6881> make[4]: *** [navit/vehicle/gpsd/CMakeFiles/vehicle_gpsd.dir/build.make:63: navit/vehicle/gpsd/CMakeFiles/vehicle_gpsd.dir/vehicle_gpsd.c.o] Error 1
<peterm6881> make[3]: *** [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:780: navit/vehicle/gpsd/CMakeFiles/vehicle_gpsd.dir/all] Error 2
<peterm6881> does this help?
<peterm6881> just before that, you had these messages
<peterm6881> [ 14%] Building C object navit/vehicle/gpsd/CMakeFiles/vehicle_gpsd.dir/vehicle_gpsd.c.o
<peterm6881> vehicle_gpsd.c:161:28: error: ‘struct gps_data_t’ has no member named ‘status’
<peterm6881> 161 | priv->status = data->status;
<peterm6881> vehicle_gpsd.c: In function ‘vehicle_gpsd_callback’:
<Xogium> looks like navit blew up
<Xogium> though not a clue why
<Xogium> will go sleep for now but will try a build on my side tomorrow
<Xogium> we didn't touch the toolchain or anything for quite a while
<Xogium> so navit has no reason to blow up like this
<peterm6881> night Xogium
