Pouring money into a hole in the ground :(
<Xogium>
how come ?
<sc6502>
I hired a cherry picker, which is now stuck in the middle of my lawn and needs to be rescued - for a cost I don't know as of yet.
<Xogium>
ow, ouch
<Xogium>
how in the world did they get stuck, anyway ?
<sc6502>
We had too much rain, the ground is too soft to support the machine.
<Xogium>
oh darn yeah that would do it…
<Xogium>
so it is quite the litteral hole
<sc6502>
yes.
<Xogium>
that really sucks
<Xogium>
I wish I could help :)
<Xogium>
but I hope you are doing good, aside from this at least
<sc6502>
yes, fine.
<Xogium>
awesome
<sc6502>
talking to Peter on phone.
<Xogium>
ah, what about ?
<sc6502>

I'M checking good hardware for network here. I had a recent upgrade to fiber, and the wifi has become… Should we say, less than stellar
<Xogium>
I'm only about 25 meters away from it, and yet its sending me a signal of, -80 dbm on average
<Xogium>
with only a plaster wall about 10 cm thick in the imaginary direct line of sight line
<Xogium>
I ran an extra long cable from the router to the computer, thankfully. But the wifi situation still needs a fix, pun intended
<Xogium>
ah, yes, thatrp2040 ? It seemed like an okay-ish mcu to me, but since I don't know how coding is for them, I couldn't tell Peter about it being a good choice for us. It's good that you gave your opinion on that
<Xogium>
*that rp2040
<Xogium>
then again… I have seen lot more powerful mcu around stm32f7 serie comes to mind
