marex: good day. I was able to reduce the size but just a bit (from 1508 bytes to 1444 bytes). So we'll move to another solution to build u-boot for older devices. Thank you so much for your time and help. I've learnt a bit more :)

Tartarus: The maintainer of "MALTA BOARD", Paul Burton has not contributed since 2018. His mailbox replies that it cannot accept any further messages. Should those boards be added to "MIPS"?
<Tartarus>
He is apparently also paulburton@kernel.org so do you want to email him there and ask or should I?

This one was not well attended, possibly being off-schedule, possibly because I needed to remind people about it sooner, not sure.
<marex>
Tartarus: ahhh ... here, please take all the blame, thank you very much :)
<Tartarus>
xypron: I see there's a v3 and... I should look at that and also ask Daniel if he still has time / interest in U-Boot
<xypron>
MIPS is kind of a dead end. But there are still a lot of OpenWRT supported routers relying on U-Boot for MIPS SoCs.
<Tartarus>
Yup
<flygoat>
I'm happy to continue MIPS housekeeping work

<dormito>
isn't loongson arch a mips+custom instructions ISA?
<flygoat>
dormito: Not really, LoongArch is Loongson's in-house ISA, prior to LoongArch Loongson was using MIPS+custom extension.
<Tartarus>
flygoat: Thanks. I emailed Daniel and I'll let you know what he says
<marex>
I still have (probably working) creator CI20 :)
<marex>
it has a very interesting limitation on SPL size
<dormito>
ah. I'd thought so because wikipida mentions it being called "a fork of MIPS64r6", and I thought I'd seen other places say similar stuff, like the linux arch support had copied a lot of the mips arch code
<Tartarus>
marex: ci20 support is still in :)
<Tartarus>
But I e-wasted mine years ago
<flygoat>
Purple imgtec CI boards are really cute:)
