<milkylainen>
Probably a stupid question. But in the classical u-boot sense memory is flat and well defined. So one has statically allocated kernel_loadaddr etc in envs that are reused from one boot to next.
<milkylainen>
As an UEFI app. How would that work? Memory is undefined which address it is from one boot to another?
<milkylainen>
malloc? In the usual sense?

fyi and ftr: I managed to set ram_size at runtime and have linux recognizing
<LeSpocky>
in the end it's just setting gd->ram_size in dram_init() in board code and bootm/bootz fixup dts loaded before passing on
<LeSpocky>
5 lines change, 1 week search for which are the right lines
<LeSpocky>
but I also have no idea where to put that into documentation

is mem fixup always "mandatory"? Does it depend on an option?

not sure
<LeSpocky>
maybe I should review bootm/bootz code again, if there's an option, I maybe need some dependency on that option set
