<jordemort>
is there a way to embed a random uefi binary in u-boot, in the way that the efi hello world and selftest can be embedded?
<jordemort>
i'd like to have u-boot hand off to ipxe, and it'd be very handy if i could just get ipxe.efi into memory by default without having to load it from somewhere

We don't have an out of the box option for that, no.
<Tartarus>
I assume you're loading u-boot itself some way to the system, but it would be annoying to re-use that to load ipxe?
