12:45 <digetx> aat596: in general you shouldn't notice a difference if Phosh was using fbdev because fbdev is emulated on top of DRM, but I don't know for how Phosh actually works and what it does; the generic DRM should work on all devices and you won't get h/w acceleration with it, DRM is API/interface, it's userspace driver that provides acceleration using DRM, you won't get accel just by using DRM for displaying
