I see that. Re: ttrss I am doubtful I have more memory to throw at it.
<isd>
Maybe add a swap file?
<ocdtrekkie>
It still builds for you okay as-is today? Do you know how much memory you gave it?
<isd>
I haven't tried it today, let me do so
<isd>
It's using the vagrantfile's logic for ram allocation though, so 1/4 of my laptop's ram would be 4GiB
<ocdtrekkie>
I am pretty sure my whole dev machine is 4 GB, but I can see what I can do to get a bit more devoted to it next attempt.
<isd>
Yeah, adding a swap file is probably your best bet then
<ocdtrekkie>
I have been unproductive lately, I blame the winter and the economy and everyone being sick. The WordPress update literally just needs to be re-signed with my author ID.
<ocdtrekkie>
Adding a swap file sounds like something I'd have no idea to do on a Linux machine.
<isd>
But yeah, I've definitely seen various builds die because of not enough memory

Jacob Weisz: it does still at least build without dying on my machine.
<isd>
Also, merged master back into that branch
<ocdtrekkie>
okay cool

<ocdtrekkie> "I have been unproductive lately,..." <- Personally getting outside and into sunlight made a world of difference to me.
<Ryuno-KiAndrJaen>
I had similar symptoms the last years.
<isd>
Yeah I try to make a point of at least going for a walk every day. But also, vitamin D supplements. Like when the sun is setting at barely past 4:00pm there's only so much you can do.
<Ryuno-KiAndrJaen>
Right

Those famous „stupid mental health walks“
<ocdtrekkie>
I have definitely felt like I need more sleep (and night time is the only project time when you have a toddler) over the winter. And I do wonder how CO2 plays into it too.
<Ryuno-KiAndrJaen>
I have a toddler at home myself (1yo).
<Ryuno-KiAndrJaen>
Night time is not the only time. I manage to sneak in small chunks (15 min max?) of slots over the day.
<Ryuno-KiAndrJaen>
That being said, easier on mobile than on laptop. Therefore I focus more on discussions than on code contributions (both are valuable in themselves).
<Ryuno-KiAndrJaen>
If you speak openly about it people will understand.
<ocdtrekkie>
Yeah, I participate in general online throughout the day, but my dev setup is pretty inaccessible to me without a solid block of time I'm not needed elsewhere.
<isd>
Jacob Weisz: are you up late or up early?
<isd>
Speaking of sleep.
<Ryuno-KiAndrJaen>
Just to be clear: don't feel pressured. It's not our intention to paint you into a corner.

It might be more helpful to move the subject into a DM or group chat.
