Hello. I'm using actioncable (and more specifically, hotwire) to broadcast partial view changes to my frontend via a turbo_frame. Unfortunately timestamps generated from the backend do not use the Time.zone of the current user (which is set in an ApplicationController around action). Is there a canonical way around this? Like an around action
<Rubyist>
equivalent for actioncable or something?
<Rubyist>
Oh I suppose the Rails channel would be better for this I'll ask there

adam12: Yeah, that's unfortunately my doing, heh. It's a trick I picked up from HTTP.rb, where they launched as "http.rb" and then later acquired the "http" namespace and no code needs to change since `require 'http'` works for both.
<havenwood>
adam12: It's really only ideal when you reasonably believe the alternative namespace won't be used or better yet when you will be able to take it over at some future point.
<havenwood>
I'm glad it's not widely known about or it'd be more of a pain. >.>
