<Rubyist> Hello. I'm using actioncable (and more specifically, hotwire) to broadcast partial view changes to my frontend via a turbo_frame. Unfortunately timestamps generated from the backend do not use the Time.zone of the current user (which is set in an ApplicationController around action). Is there a canonical way around this? Like an around action
<Rubyist> equivalent for actioncable or something?
<Rubyist> Oh I suppose the Rails channel would be better for this I'll ask there

<havenwood> adam12: Yeah, that's unfortunately my doing, heh. It's a trick I picked up from HTTP.rb, where they launched as "http.rb" and then later acquired the "http" namespace and no code needs to change since `require 'http'` works for both.
<havenwood> adam12: It's really only ideal when you reasonably believe the alternative namespace won't be used or better yet when you will be able to take it over at some future point.
<havenwood> I'm glad it's not widely known about or it'd be more of a pain. >.>

<nakilon> does anyone use capybara with minitest without rails? can't find any snippet how to not wrap everything in a class
<adam12> nakilon: I do. What do you mean?
<nakilon> adam12 to make "describe" available outside of all
<nakilon> capybara's minitest readme snippet only shows using the dsl within classes
<nakilon> and the only SO answer is dated to 2011 and is about rails
<adam12> nakilon: Minitest::Spec.include(Capybara::Minitest::Expectations)?
<adam12> nakilon: You're talking about the `describe` method, but that's minitest and not Capybara, no? Unless I'm thinking of the wrong `describe`.
<nakilon> not minitest::spec...
<nakilon> plain minitest
<adam12> What describe method then?
<nakilon> from minitest
<adam12> That's minitest/spec :\
<nakilon> all my minitest tests are just describe ... it ....
<nakilon> nope _<> I guess they are just named the same
<adam12> method(:describe).source_location ? I'm confused.
<nakilon> oh wait, maybe I'm wrong
