<Guest7> Hello everyone
slisnake has joined #pypy
<Guest7> I am a python library author with multiple packages on PyPi.
<Guest7> My packages run fine on CPython and I am in the process of adding PYPY compatibility.
<fijal> cool!
<Guest7> However I encounter a weird issue when installing the dependencies. Everything works fine on Windows but I get install/compile errors when the dependency typed-ast gets installed on PYPY_3.7
<Guest7> Does anyone have any hint?
<Guest7> The error only happens on Linux and MacOs
<Guest7> You can heck these log builds for ore details : https://github.com/SekouDiaoNlp/pylexique/actions/runs/1921619807
<Guest7> Thans in advance for any help
<Guest7> Or if you now some other resource I could consult it would be awesome

<Guest7> Thank you. Can I find more information about that please?
<Guest7> ronan: thanks for the info
<Guest7> what's weird is that typed-ast installs flawlessly on PYPY on Windows

<LarstiQ> does it actually get installed for pypy or for cpython?
<LarstiQ> the compile errors in your first link don't look like they could work for pypy, even on Windows
<Guest7> they atually do install on pypy on windows
<Guest7> this partiular job works on pypy"è on windows: https://github.com/SekouDiaoNlp/pylexique/runs/5389858823?check_suite_focus=true
<Guest7> the exact sae config is on all win/ma/linux
<Guest7> I just realized typed-ast is not installed as a dependency when running PYPY on Windows. My bad :)
<Guest7> Could soe one point me to a resource where I could learn ore about this issue and find a potential workaround? Thanks in advance!
