<achin> the bot now supports colors, if your client also supports them
<achin> !nb 2 mm + 5 cm -> inches
<Charbot9000> 2 millimetre + 5 centimetre ➞ inch = 2.04724 in [Length]
<sharkdp> triallax: I am not particularly excited about pulling in an additional library and the potential problems that can arise from loading files from disk on different operating systems.
<sharkdp> (or distributions)
<sharkdp> achin: The web-client I'm using does not seem to support colors :-/
<achin> aww :( well, here's what it looks like on my side: https://up.em32.site/679a.png
<sharkdp> triallax: That said, if this solves and real world problems, I'm okay with having a second look
<sharkdp> achin: Cool! By the way: is the code for the bot open?
<achin> yeah. i bolted in the numbat stuff to an existing pile of code mainly designed to play with openai APIs. the numbat stuff is here: https://github.com/eminence/anna/commit/4523ac986f236cb29d3323f90adab9de88fc2b86
<achin> adding numbat support into the bot was pretty simple, i mostly just copied what the CLI did
<sharkdp> Thanks
<triallax> achin: nice
<triallax> i see the colors in my client, though they're somewhat muted
<triallax> that's probably my terminal's fault though
<triallax> sharkdp: saying that it solves real world problems is a bit strong maybe
<triallax> it does solve the minor issue that numbat's timezone database can become out of date
<triallax> but as you say there are downsides that probably outweigh that
<triallax> at least at the moment
