<wens> anyone with the NanoPi M4V2 or M4B? trying to get Bluetooth to work
<maz> is there a known breakage of the Ethernet on rk3399? 5.15-rc1 gets a link, but no address...
<LinuxHackerman> maz: I have same problem with my nanopi m4 on 4.14.x, haven't looked into it in detail though
<maz> LinuxHackerman: 5.13 was working, so I doubt this is related to whatever issue 4.14 has.
<wens> maz: there is
<LinuxHackerman> er sorry I meant 5.14
<wens> maz: revert 2d26f6e39afb net: stmmac: dwmac-rk: fix unbalanced pm_runtime_enable warnings
<wens> on the M4B w/ AP6256, if I drop max-speed from 4M down to 3M I can get rid of warnings, but the HCI seems to fall asleep after initialization.
<wens> on the M4V2 w/ AP6356S, the HCI doesn't even initialize
<maz> wens: ah, thanks. is someone working on a fix for this?
<wens> maz: there was a RFC series posted on linux-rockchip _only_
<wens> someone else reported that it didn't fix things though
<mriesch> maz: there was some effort last week but as far as i know the actual reason for this behavior is still unclear
<mriesch> not sure whether punit is still digging around. as far as i am concerned i need to get some rk3399 hardware first
<wens> also on my nanopi m4b, the wifi and bluetooth mac addresses reset to some default value after reboot, and only a power cycle can fix it :/

<punit> I am still poking at this when time permits - but it's been slow going so far.

<tlwoerner> diederik: thanks for the pointers, tweaking my kernel config improves the situation (i'm able to run the entire glmark2-es2 test without crashing)
