09:51 <Viciouss> I have one more patch for the display and a pwm backlight, that is driven by the exynos pwm driver. it works almost fine, but for some reason, the display turns off when I set the brightness to max value. I remember seeing a line that limits the maximum brightness for the samsung backlight in the vendor kernel but can't find it right now

09:53 <Viciouss> on the other hand, the backlight in the vendor kernel is driven by the mdnie driver, so it might also be that it works slighty different there, but it looks like the pwm is somehow involved in it under the covers
