<CounterPillow> xdarklight: finally got around to testing out https://github.com/xdarklight/ch348 and I no longer see dropped bytes at 1.5Mbaud with this version, excellent work! Is there some mailing list post I should send my Tested-by to?

<CounterPillow> Weirdly enough, after letting it run at 6mbauds for a while it starts producing weird regular bitflip-looking errors. Not sure what that is about. But it's way more reliable than the version I tried initially.
<CounterPillow> when quitting it produces numbers like "read 1899776 bytes, wrote 30398464 bytes, encountered 975 errors (0.051322 percent)" which looks like it didn't actually write out all the data, it just let some kernel buffer get very full

<xdarklight> CounterPillow: thanks for testing! and great to hear that it works now (mostly) :-) montjoie was doing some tests and it also looked promising for him. there's no v7 on the mailing lists yet - montjoie do you have any timeline for that?
