<phh> Hello. On current torvalds master a5c95ca18, my ethernet with internal phy on g12a is failing with phy_error in phy_state_machine. It looks related to "net: phy: c22: migrate to genphy_c45_write_eee_adv()", which mention "related driver should provide own .get_features callback.". I'll take a deeper look and see if i can fix it

<xdarklight> phh: net.git has some EEE fixes which are not in mainline (torvalds master) yet: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/netdev/net.git/commit/?id=1e30373ea59ef47a7aa406cab64c852200f4bac3
<xdarklight> I'm not saying that they're fixing the issue you're seeing - just to give some idea that there may be a fix out there already

<phh> at a glance it isn't. i got a better understanding of the issue now, i'll raise it on the lkml
<xdarklight> sounds good, in my experience networking maintainers are really quick and provide great input
