<jclsn> Can anyone give support on getting XMLTV grabbers to work with IPTV?

<jclsn> God, so hard to get support for this
<jclsn> So I was able to socat the xml data into the xmltv.sock and the EPG grabber channels appeared. Still not EPG data is being downloaded

<jclsn> All of these options are not maintained anymore though. Really a pity
<jclsn> I wonder why that is
<htsbot> [slack] <Flole> The tv_grab stuff is an external project, so you'll have to contact the maintainers of that for issues with it
<htsbot> [slack] <Flole> The socat way is the right way and for me it works. You need to map the EPG data to channels, and then use socat again to actually import the data into the channels. If a channel is not mapped, the import will be skipped
