17:22 <ouzel8_> This troubleshooting step has not worked. I now encounter a "403" error when navigating to http://local:9981, and logging in at the prompt.

17:22 <knolle> it also created a user account that probably has /var/lib/tvheadend listed as its home directory

17:27 <ouzel8_> Also used "tvheadend -C" to repopulate it with settings files.

17:30 <ouzel8_> After restarting tvheadend, the process can seemingly read from the configuration folder "/var/lib/tvheadend".

17:31 <ouzel8_> So after recreating the config folder, I first had to change ownership to hts, and then restart the services. All working now!
