<ppetrov^> is the correct way to report an issue something like this: https://git.crux.nu/ports/opt/issues/19
<ppetrov^> ?
<pitillo> hey ppetrov^, for me it seems to be a good way to keep track of issues, but I'm not sure if flyspray/IRC/mailing list is preferred over gitea issue tracker by core system members

<farkuhar> In opt #19 specifically, the depinst operation would still have failed even if prt-get could recognize soft dependencies and sort the targets accordingly. That's because ppetrov^ already had all the dependencies satisfied, so qt6-base and poppler weren't part of the transaction.
<farkuhar> On a clean container, a softdeps-aware prt-get would prioritize qt6-base before poppler, so the depinst operation would have succeeded. But day-to-day usage leads to an idiosyncratic order in which packages are installed, never quite the same order as what would happen in a clean container.
