<jaeger> Unexpected rustc version: 1.79.0, we should use 1.80.x/1.81.0 to build source with 1.81.0 <-- saw this on a system that hadn't been updated in a while, just found it interesting. Presumably the easiest workaround is to remove rust and build again.
