<beerman> Romster since you recently picked up firefox, what does that mean for other ports in your name?
<Romster> well if i have any left that no one else wants to maintain, i'll review what i really use and drop the others.
<Romster> i havne't had much sucess with wayfire/wayland just yet
<Romster> i did just add eglinfo to mesa-demos not pushed that yet though. not so sure on the dependencies list of rmesa-demos
<beerman> sure, go ahead. if you want to maintain stuff regularly you can get ports back, i have enough on my own
<Romster> i use firefox and thunderbird every day, i don't wanna keep maintianing things i don't regulary use anymore. i'm done updating a ton of things i rarely use.
<Romster> still digging through crux 3.7 finding a few things in need of fixing.
<Romster> and one of our dogs got attacked 2 days ago by a dog that got out of someones front yard. so that was trmatic...
<beerman> well, that sounds healthy
<Romster> dog is very sore but shes getting better
<beerman> you'll remember that I asked you to thin out a dozen of times, so go ahead and drop things, mark them unmaintained or whatever
<beerman> ouch
<Romster> yeah
<Romster> a bit over 300 bucks in vet bills, mums gonna see if she can get that money back from the house where the dog got out of the fence gap
<Romster> they since fixed the fence...
<Romster> yeah after an attack
<beerman> mh
<beerman> sorry to hear that
<Romster> shit happens. jsut glad it's nothing serious but she is really tramatised and so is my mum that was walkng her at the time of the attack
<Romster> i came home 2 days ago to blood on the floor, i didn't know if it was mums or the dogs blood
<Romster> yeah wasn't the best day
<beerman> .__.
<Romster> i am not sure what's up with wayfire i got seated but it keeps saying it can't find dbus but i got dbus running
<beerman> maybe try dbus-launch wayfire as the exec line?
<Romster> dbus-launch --auto-syntax --exit-with-session wayfire-session
<Romster> i did that like i did with icewm-session
<beerman> mh, no idea. jaeger did you manage to get your wayland session up and running with nvidia yet?
<Romster> and recent events i haven't tried again yet
<Romster> (EE) systemd-logind: failed to get session: The name org.freedesktop.login1 was not provided by any .service files
<Romster> i probably need to disable that perhaps
<beerman> never tried wayfire, no idea, but there is no good solution to get that file, it requires elogind or worse
<jaeger> I never succeeded with an nvidia wayland session, no... I'll push my nvidia changes today anyway, I guess.
<jaeger> Sorry to hear about your dog, that sucks :/
<farkuhar> ivandi: do you still run wayfire on CRUX? any tips on how to make it work with seatd?
<farkuhar> Romster: sorry to hear about your dog. I hope the owner of the attacking dog agrees to pay your vet bills.
<ivandi> No, but i don't remember having problems with seatd. i used to run sway on tty1 and wayfire on tty2 for some stuff that doesn't like tilling.
<ivandi> i run 'dbus-run-session -- sway' in my zlogin and then 'exec dbus-update-activation-environment WAYLAND_DISPLAY' in sway config
<ivandi> iirc i was running dbus from wayfire config
<ivandi> Romster: sorry to hear that
