<r0ni> oh shit, not again lol
<cruxbridge> <pitillo (@pitillo:crux.nu)> xD
<r0ni> not my fault this time, it's a fork! lol
<cruxbridge> <pitillo (@pitillo:crux.nu)> you have copy the actions hook in your personal repo too
<r0ni> yeah i'll rm it, so it don't do that
<cruxbridge> <pitillo (@pitillo:crux.nu)> ah! so actions are copied over a fork.... I didn't know that
<r0ni> it didn't do it before with my forks anytime I did a PR... thats new behavior
<r0ni> but now that I think about it, i remember seeing tim's forks appear in here as well before... so maybe it has been happening, we just never noticed
<cruxbridge> <pitillo (@pitillo:crux.nu)> ummm I didn't remember if it was the fork or the merged PR.... btw, doesn't matter really, I think they won't disturb anyone
<r0ni> likely not, but it may confuse people (i realize there isn't many to confuse ;)
<cruxbridge> <pitillo (@pitillo:crux.nu)> yeah, that's what I mean....

<beerman> Maybe we need the actions in the master branch and then we don't need them for the versioned branches?
<beerman> But in any way: lol :D
<beerman> Good confusion

<r0ni> maybe useful to help create a clean rootfs soon-ish, here's all the builds I've made for core 3.8: https://lngn.net/crux/core38-pkgs/
<cruxbridge> <pitillo (@pitillo:crux.nu)> we have ready a crux-arm-release builder.... to use it natively or with containers (currently docker)
<cruxbridge> <pitillo (@pitillo:crux.nu)> [2025-01-28 17:54:34] Preparing release directory (/root/crux-arm-release_native6/release)
<cruxbridge> make -e prepare-release-dir
<cruxbridge> make[1]: Leaving directory '/root/crux-arm-release_native6'
<cruxbridge> make[1]: Entering directory '/root/crux-arm-release_native6'
<cruxbridge> make[1]: Nothing to be done for 'prepare-release-dir'.
<cruxbridge> [2025-01-28 17:54:34] Release final name crux-arm-3.8-arm64.rootfs.tar.xz
<cruxbridge> 'crux-arm-3.8-arm64.rootfs.tar.xz' -> '../crux-arm-3.8-dev1-arm64.rootfs-final.tar.xz'
<cruxbridge> [2025-01-28 17:54:34] Release completed
<r0ni> huh technology, never ceases to amaze :)
<cruxbridge> <pitillo (@pitillo:crux.nu)> you can check it on github crux-arm-release repo.... Tim's branch (add-3.8-quirks)
<r0ni> i'll look it up!
<cruxbridge> <pitillo (@pitillo:crux.nu)> we are waiting now to CRUX tag.... so we can rebuild again releases for aarch64 and verify the builder works as expected

<r0ni> very nice
<r0ni> come to think of it, I may have played with this repo a few years ago or something like it... hell i might even have a fork, it seems awefully familiar
<pitillo> sure! at least for 3.7 we build releases with it
<pitillo> now sepen has improved it a lot and Tim helped a lot too in its development/debugging
<r0ni> iirc I had issues getting it to go all the way, but managed to a few times. I'll have to try out the changes
<pitillo> so the builder now has a better aspect, but it needs some love, specially under docker
<pitillo> that sounds perfect. If you can give any feedboak it will be very welcome
<pitillo> the more hands on it... the better we can get it
<r0ni> absolutely! excited to help get 3.8 out the door any way possible

<r0ni> something wrong with the core-arm64 3.8 repo, it's not updating the repo file
<cruxbridge> <pitillo (@pitillo:crux.nu)> Yeah, I’ve seen the error on actions. Problems to download httpup but it’s there
