On the BBB, using sys_5v and GND from a voltage divider can or cannot be used with the same grounds as many 3.3v GND pins?
<set_>
Dang it. I do not think I typed that correctly. I have a voltage divider from sys_5v and I want to use the GND with other 3.3v pin GNDs and then apply the output to something like a driver...
<set_>
Is that possible or would I need extra circuitry?

is having an epiphany of sorts and needs guidance or something!

<ds2>
ground is universal
<set_>
Thank you.
<set_>
Ground is universal, almost.
<set_>
ds2: I thought there were cases when the GND was above the lowest voltage?
<set_>
For instance, -4.5v, 0, 3.3v.
<set_>
My darn GPIO pins cannot be used. I am on the wrong image with the wrong board. Blah.
<set_>
ha.
<set_>
Sorry.
<set_>
For some reason, the boards have different pin assignment every so often. One must be diligent.
<set_>
Whelp, I tried. Something is in the way.
<set_>
Searching until another day or two...
<set_>
I guess my logic is off...
<set_>
Everything seems to be connected and working.

<ds2>
no
<ds2>
ground is 0...aka the reference where everything is defined against
<ds2>
now for protection/emi...there are different grounds but for referncing things,there is just one ground.
