[Discord] <gambl0r> Hi all, anyone have experience with dkms kernel modules? I'm running orangepi5-plus 6.1.43-vendor-rk35xx jammy and I have to compile this kernel module for wifi: https://github.com/lwfinger/rtw89
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <gambl0r> I create the dkms package (.deb), install it with `sudo dpkg -i dkms-pkg.deb` and it works fine after a reboot. However, after the system updates kernel, bootloader, etc.. the dkms module is not rebuilt or loaded. I have to manually install the dkms package again. I was under the impression that this was meant to be automated?
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <monkablyat> That's because this BSP 6 kernel is an anomaly that shouldn't exist
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <gambl0r> I thought it would be something to do with dkms not configured correctly but damn
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <gambl0r> the performance running from sd card on this build is actually phenomenal
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <igorpec> this works with normal kernels
<DC-IRC>
[Discord] <gambl0r> I was just curious because it worked in the past, thanks for letting me know

[Discord] <ahoneybun> Ubuntu based or Debian based? I see exfat-fuse on Armbian Jammy.
