<Armbian-Discord> <MicroLinux (Salva)> doesn anybody have a rock5B jammy build somewhere?
<Armbian-Discord> <RichN> has anyone noticed on the t4 latest img that the usb-c to dp is not working
<Armbian-Discord> <RichN> hdmi worked fine but the usb-c and x where not detecting a 2nd display
<Armbian-Discord> <MicroLinux (Salva)> Well, I didn't know that was supported in the first place
<Armbian-Discord> <MicroLinux (Salva)> Since the dp implementation is very tricky on the hw afaik
<Armbian-Discord> <MicroLinux (Salva)> Balbes lost its T4, so we dont have a maintainer
<Armbian-Discord> <TheBug> I do have a few very early test images, though since it seems a lot of the GPU stuff relies on Jammy it likely wouldnt be a bad idea to build and up to date Jammy image to have around...
<Armbian-Discord> <TheBug> Ohh no gnome though
<Armbian-Discord> <TheBug> Sorry I missed that part
<Armbian-Discord> <TheBug> But I do have some old builds, if you need let me know.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tonymac32> OH GNOME! SO SORRE WE JAVE GNOME GNOME
<Armbian-Discord> <MicroLinux (Salva)> Well, gnome is far more efficient than many others DE. Kde consume more ram, also, gnome is very optimized as today and the de facto ruler of desktop linux. Even if I loge xfce, it's not up to the task as today. Xfce would need a massive boost on development, move to gtk4, be wayland ready and every app, far friendly and good looking applets.. it's not up to the task as today.
<Armbian-Discord> <MicroLinux (Salva)> I also didn't like it.. but I had to get used
<Armbian-Discord> <c0rnelius> I use both GNOME and XFCE, they are both fine. Really depends on the device I am working with.
<Armbian-Discord> <NicoD> Gnome is forced onto me but I resist. I don't know how people can be productive with that. Lately I'm using Cinnamon more, but still love xfce. It get's things done quickly. Totally not get the sway either. But I grew up with windows. So I want my windows to work like windows...
