<Tenkawa> @chewitt: what are people using w1 for nowadays?

<Armbian-Discord>
<Tenkawa> I didn't even realize it was still used.. just like plan9
<chewitt>

<Armbian-Discord>
<Tenkawa> Yeah... old bell labs os that still has components in the kernel
<Armbian-Discord>
<Tenkawa> It might be finally gone but I think there was a net component that lingered
<Armbian-Discord>
<Tenkawa> no.. . it was the v9fs.. lol
<chewitt>
w1 = Amlogic homebrew sdio module to replace all the Broadcom/Realtek chips nobody can source these days

<Armbian-Discord>
<adeepv> chewitt no. I tried to port all the wonder from amlogic to the latest kernel, but the most I got was a list of wifi networks. I have a more recent driver, but I don't have time to experiment with it yet.
