<peterm6881> hey Xogium
<Xogium> ps -Ao comm,rss --sort rss|grep navit
<Xogium> should work
<peterm6881> thank you , stand by
<peterm6881> conflicting arguments
<peterm6881> perhaps you could remote into the server and try it
<peterm6881> wait
<peterm6881> my bad, space after the comma
<peterm6881> 6964
<peterm6881> with a fix
<Xogium> so around 6.9 mb of ram nearly 7
<Xogium> its small for linux, but its BIG for a microcontroller
<peterm6881> not 7kb?
<Xogium> don't forget the rp2040 has only 256 kb of ram
<Xogium> nop it is already noted in kb
<Xogium> so almost 7000 kb
<peterm6881> aha, interpretation eroor
<peterm6881> arror
<peterm6881> fs
<peterm6881> error
<peterm6881> remind me how much ram the sc controller has?
<peterm6881> 5696 when its hunting for a fix
<Xogium> internally, 512 kb
<peterm6881> yeah its consistent, 7MB with a fix, 6MB without
<Xogium> we can add external ram on our pcb, but ram costs a lot
<Xogium> so beware of that
<peterm6881> be interesting to see if pared down code can get us over the line
<Xogium> maybe ? Who knows
<Xogium> the biggest st mcu have 1.5 mb of ram and 2 mb of internal flash
<peterm6881> sc6502 ;)
<peterm6881> oh
<peterm6881> maybe we are on a highway to nothing
<Xogium> that's truly gigantic for a mcu
<peterm6881> any idea how much it costs?
<Xogium> in comparison the rp2040 has 256 kb of ram, and no internal flash at all
<Xogium> hmm not sure
<Xogium> these are truly super massive microcontrollers, and they probably cost quite a lot
<Xogium> but fun to know about them, if nothing else
<peterm6881> i know, its mind blowing the range. theresa lack of reference designs though
<peterm6881> theres a
<Xogium> well, lot of reference guide tell you how to design pcb with them, actually, or at any rate give some tips
<peterm6881> thats where rp2040 wins, they produced a minimal circuit design, whereas dev boards take the opposite approach, throwing everything including the kitchen sink at it
<Xogium> well like I said the reference manual of the SoC often have a lot of tips to let you design pcb with it
<peterm6881> true
<peterm6881> right im off to look at a caravan
